Certainty and skepticism.
Do you sometimes wonder if certainty will ever make room for skepticism?
Although certainty gives us a more relaxed feeling about something or someone than the sensation we experience through skepticism, the feeling of certainty does not always mean we’re dealing with facts.
How many times did we say “I was certain that…… “but then, things took a different turn.
However, certainty helps us mitigate risks, builds the confidence that moves us forward and, enables us to take a chance on the situation at hand by motivating us to strive for victory.
Skepticism is by no means the lesser worthy sensation, nor is it necessarily a bad thing. With the right amount of skepticism, we can guard against fraud and stave-off unpleasant surprises. Skepticism provides the added protection that keeps us from taking anything for granted and entices us to validate the truth.
Imagine the benefits we would derive from combining a balanced dose of certainty with skepticism!
This combination could be the recipe that ensures the solution to a problem does not become more difficult than the issue itself.
